Free Excerpt: Luminosity Masks vs. HDR
HDR is an automated process done through software such as Lightroom or your smartphone’s camera app. Luminosity Masks are a Photoshop tool which lets you manually blend exposures together based on the light levels of your image. While both can create great images, Luminosity Masks give you the ability to customize and refine exposures, often yielding more realistic results.
