How to Smooth Skin with Photoshop’s Camera Raw Filter

Adobe Certified Instructor Steve Weinrebe shows a new technique for skin smoothing using the Camera Raw filter on individual channels. Steve explains how the ability to use Camera Raw as a filter on individual channels is a huge advancement in workflow.
By applying the Camera Raw filter in LAB color mode, Steve demonstrate how photographers can achieve excellent control over smoothing skin texture.

(Tip: I don’t mention this in the tutorial, but, if you are a graphic designer working on printed material, you can achieve somewhat similar results by applying the Camera Raw filter to just the Black channel of a CMYK document. So if you are already working in CMYK it may be worth testing out.) See my blog, ModeStudio.us, for a complete list of available options for the Camera Raw filter. ~ Steve)
