In this GIMP tutorial I show you how to colorize black and white photos with realistic results! Add color to your desaturated photos or make your old photos look modern with this extremely effective technique. There are no plugins used or required for this tutorial – everything to achieve the result is included in GIMP by default!

This is a great photo restoration or photo manipulation tutorial for beginners. I use a combination of layer modes, layer masks, paint tools, and palettes to achieve the result.
