In this video I demonstrate Inkscape 1.2’s new on-canvas alignment feature, more commonly known as “Smart Guides.” When enabled, this feature will display guides directly on your canvas to help you align your objects to your canvas, or align objects to other objects in your composition.
An additional exciting feature that rolled out with Inkscape 1.2 is the redesigned Snap Controls. This menu, which contains all the settings for turning on snapping, has been drastically simplified to make the user experience exponentially better.
Inkscape is a free scalable vector graphics editor most similar to Adobe Illustrator or Affinity Designer.
