Doodle Therapy: Friendly Isometric Scenes with Christina Young and Alice Lee – 2 of 2

Doodle Therapy is a space for us to come together, relax, and simply draw. This week on Doodle Therapy, we’re welcoming Christina Young, an illustrator and 3D artist based in Queens, NY.

Over the next two days, we’ll use isometric principles to create a full scene, using 3D concepts on a flat 2D grid to create a “2.5D” effect. Christina will share how to set up isometric grid perspectives in Illustrator, utilizing the bevel and emboss tools. For a finishing touch, we’ll explore tricks to soften the blocky nature of these illustrations.
Regardless of your age or skill level, everyone is invited to join and draw along. Grab a cup of tea, and come by for an hour of relaxing drawing.
