MAC has been making tons of security updates to its operating systems recently, making it hard for open source programs like GIMP and G’MIC to keep up with development for these systems. As a result, it’s hard to get your hands on certain MAC-friendly plug-ins for GIMP, or even for an up-to-date version of GIMP for MAC. In this tutorial, I show you how to download and install a version of GIMP that includes G’MIC for MAC (and that works!) while also explaining GIMP’s MAC problems.
