In this GIMP 2.10.4 tutorial, I show you how to “transform the body” using common techniques in the photo retouching industry. These techniques have grown to become more controversial over the years as “Photoshopping” has often gone too far in creating an “ideal” body image. However, it is still common place for retouchers to make slight tweaks to models in order to achieve the results they want.
I show you how to make these tweaks using the Warp Transform and Cage Transform tools. The Warp Transform tool is very similar to Photoshop’s Warp Tool, and the Cage Tool is similar to the Puppet Warp Tool. The Warp Transform tool replaced the iWarp tool which was in GIMP 2.8 and older.
