24 is an upcoming Tamil science fiction thriller[1] film, written and directed by Vikram Kumar. The film features Suriya, Samantha and Nithya Menen in the leading roles.
The development dates back to 2009, where the film was to feature actors Vikram and Ileana D’Cruz in lead roles. However, in February 2010, the film was dropped due to difference in opinions between director, producer and actor, facing rejection of the refined script. After a development hell, it was officially announced by 2D Entertainment in August 2014.
Principal photography commenced in Mumbai on April 8, 2015, and continued in Goregaon. A twenty-day filming schedule was completed in Poland by September 2015. A day shoot in Pune in October 2015, filming was officially completed in Chennai by early November 2015.
Produced by 2D Entertainment and K. E. Gnanavelraja with cinematography by Kiran Deohans and Tirru and film score composed by A. R. Rahman, the film is scheduled to release in 2016.
